My advice is to check with a local church to see if some good samaritan amateur mechanics who like working on cars will take a look at yours. It will eliminate labor costs and maybe save on parts costs, as well, if they make your car their mission project. Offer to barter or exchange your time or services for someone's time on your car.

I would love to know any information on ways to get help for single moms looking to fix there car. I have very little income and what does come in goes straight to bills and my kids needs. I have none left to fix my car. If you know of any way please write back.

Hi I am a mother of 2 and would love to go to school in the fall. I have applied for financial aid and I hope I will receive it. But what I need is a little help to fix my car so I will be able to safely get my children to daycare and then to school. It is a great car but is in need of repair. I will be really grateful for any help.
